Is it possible to put music from a CD on to vinyl?
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I have no idea if this is possible or anywhere that would do it...:o

Are you sure you mean CD to Vinyl, most people want Vinyl to CD.
Anything is possible....but the cost would be prohibitive, also you must own the copyright of whatever is on the CD before any reputable company would even contemplate the job.0 -
It would be possible but I doubt that you'd find anywhere to actually do the job as producing the vinyl master would cost a fortune as would a production run of (presumably) a singe pressing.
Drag yourself boldly forwards into the latter half of the 20th century and embrace the CD. Alternately if you listen to it with your head buried in a pillow while rubbing two bits of sandpaper together you'll get pretty close to what most vinyl disks used to sound like.0 -
Haha, yeah, I mean CD to Vinyl. I thought I'd just get laughed at when I asked this question...
My boyfriend is in an unsigned band and they have an EP, but I thought of the idea of getting it on vinyl for a xmas present. He loves his vinyl, but I had no idea where to look for something like this.0 -
Are we talking about 78s, LPs or 45s ?0

just buy yourself a basic ION or similar turntable. If you are serious about the quality then buy a high end deck and a decent soundcard. But please dont ever sell your records.."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0

Realistically it looks like the answer is no.
How about you buy an old record from a charity shop, cut a CD sized hole out of the middle of it and somehow stick his CD inside it.
Obviously it wouldn't play on anything, but might be worth a smile. You could cover the LP's sleeve with plain paper and then design your own (or use their own) cover for it.0 -
