Windows media player9??

Hi, I've seen a Zennox USB stick that I'd like to get my husband for his birthday which is said to give access to over 5000 TV stations around the world.

System requirements are - among others which I have - DirectX 9.0c, BrowserIE6.0 and widows media player 9 or newer.

I have windows XP. How can I find out if I already have these or how can I get them if I haven't?

As its not going to be a TV usb stick with 5000 stations on it methinks a bit more research as it smells like a standard dime a dozen internet tv program that would not need a usb stick . A lot of them are free anyway .
    Google Internet TV .

    Thanks busenbust.

JJ Egan, thanks for that. I don't really understand these things. I'll google internet TV as you suggested. The Zennox thing is currently advertised in the newspapers and seemed like a good buy as it said no ariel is needed. We bought one once that wasn't a bit of good as we installed it and got absolutely nothing. Reading the small print revealed you would need to use an outside ariel to get "best" results...and who's got their computer linked up to an outside ariel?

The standard usb freeview TV sticks need a proper aerial to work and will only get the UK region TV channels .
5000 channels is only possible over the internet and even then take 5000 as mainly rubbish and lots of foreign stuff .

So is it standard practise then, baza, to have your computer linked to an outdoor ariel?
