hi, could anyone answer simular question please?
i got a acer aspire 5738 which looks like it has a HDMI socket, as so does my tv neon lcd something? lol.
sorry not very techno!!!! would this mean if i have a lead HDMI would i be able to connect my lap top to tv?

Sounds like your ok. Get the HDMI cable from ebuyer.com or something avoid the likes of Comet and Currys0 -

liam - I think that Joe is wrong - you don't need a converter. DVI to VGA converter blocks are all over the place and perform the conversion. There's one on the monitor I'm using right now. VGA to DVI to HDMI WILL go.0
