Hi all , after yesterdays announcments by George Osbourne I am a little confused and worried about my situation as I am sure many others are about theirs.I will be very honest with you and tell you I am not the smartest tool in the box .Here goes, I am a single mum currently on income based ESA I have yet to have my medical .One of my children will hopefully be starting uni in Sept One will be going to sixth form and the other 2 are in Secondary school. I currently recieve Ib ESA CTC and Child Ben , also Hb and Ctb . I get £ 56 a week from their dad .I didn't really understand much from yesterday so can someone if possible please try and explain to me what is likely to happen in my situation .Many thanks all

I can say that your ESA will not be affected as the time limit is for Contribution based ESA only. As long as you satisfy the ESA medical requirements that is.0

The plan is to combine all benefits under one umbrella which they call a 'Universal Credit'.
I wouldn't worry too much about that just yet as this is a ten year plan.;)0 -
