Hey all, took my mum into town and it gave her a boost. Bought her two tops from Primark and she was chuffed, we even found me a winter jacket. A nice grey double breasted belted affair that I love and is decently warm :D

She's like me, she's got depression but SAD is making her feel worse. But she sounds better now....she's had a good gossip with me and a wander

It's nice Pooks, not as cramped as the one in Soton, which was a relief. We wandered the first floor (me and mum got some long sleeved tops and hated the hoodies as they're all round necked! And my dad some jeans cos he needed them) and went upstairs, and mum was happy cos the bedding isn't too expensive. We did end up in Store 21 to buy my coat though, as although it was a bit more (£26) it's better material...it's the grey belted on in there.

Got my car back with a new battery, so yet another £60 lighter!

Also kept panicking that my new settees wouldn't get through the front door, so went back to the shop with the plan of buying a 'split settee' which means they can take it apart in order to get it in at an extra £60, but my daughter decided she would like a recliner settee, so £100 later we now have one two seater and one three seater that reclines at both ends. I didn't know that recliners don't recline backwards anymore, so can sit against the wall, but I know it is going to be a disaster as the bit that comes out is going to be in the way. My daughter keeps saying we won't be here long (at this property) but I think she is being optimistic and I also know at some stage I will lose my temper with the settee!
