  • I posted this link on another thread where someone was asking about label ideas, but thought others might like it for a homemade gift.

I can highly recommend the Nestle fudge recipe posted by tiff earlier in the thread. I made it yesterday and there's hardly any left now. Absolutely delicious, grainy but melt-in-your-mouth, mmmmm.

I have a question though, would it be ok to double the recipe without any problems?

I don't see why you can't double the mixture so long as your pan is big enough. Haven't made the recipe yet but definitely intend to.

How about making two batches, one choc and one plain and putting one on top of the other to make two-tone fudge?

Or half dipping the plain fudge into melted choc - on second thoughts, I don't think the fudge will last long enough for me to melt the choc!!!

Can anyone recommend a particular software for the calendar making? I took loads of photos of my friends garden in the summer because it was so lovely, think she might like that.

    Thanks

One of my friends once gave me a jar of "raindeer poo" and a jar of "snowman poo" for christmas, they were just chocolate covered peanuts and mint imperials with a nice little printed label on the jars.

I thought it was a top idea. May copy her this year (although can't give them to anyone she knows or they may end up with two lots!)

  • Hi
I remember a few years ago, Boots used to sell blank calendars with a space on each page to insert/stick/glue your own photos. Now with everything digital, these probably don't exist any more, but if anyone does know of any shops that still sell them please let me know!

    Many thanks.
