New laptop got skype already installed. I am not sure how to use it as it will be handy if I call abroad and it will save me loads? Do you have to pay to use skype? Thanks

It's like MSN where you can do video calling etc.
You can buy skype credit to call landlines from you're PC but calling a normal computer i think is free
I've never used it but my EX flat mate from Poland used it every day to call his parents back home and he never paid anythingIf Adam and Eve were created first
.Does that mean we are all inbred0 -
As Rossy said you can call another pc totally free and call quality is good. The rates for calling landlines and mobile are pretty good too and again call quality is good. Hope that helps.0

Computer to computer ie both you and the other person is logged in skype is free. You can buy credit to all anywhere in the world mobiles and landlines, price varies on country. If you regularly call 1 country you can buy for about £3 unlimited calls to 1 country a month (not including the one your in). Saves a fortune in calls, Also if the other person has a smartphone and a unlimited data plan they can use skype on that and you can talk for free. I use it to call Japan, since my recipiant got their iphone with unlimited data plan and skype I can call them for free to their skype and chat for ages. Also if you have a smart phone too and a unlimited dataplan you coul be mobile too and free calls
If you go for the PAYG £23 for £20 credit option Use topcashback they currently have 40% cashback on £20 so you get £20 credit for £15Survey earnings total 2009 £417, 2010 £875, 2011 £5740
