Looking for a new tv should I buy a Panasonic TX-P42V20B

As the title suggests looking at getting a new tv to upgrade from a panasonic px70. Will be mostly used for sd freeview (hd not until next year where I am) gaming, DVD & bluray. Been looking at the Panasonic TX-P42V20B. Always had panasonic tv's and like the idea of freesat hd, there's not enough for me to go 3D yet. But just wondered what peoples opinions were. Should I be looking at another set?
Thanks

If you wan the V, absolutely go for it - but you have to look at the cheaper G20 first and work out whether you want to pay for the extra features in the V - could be a bit of money saved there.0

The latest Pans are very good. BUT, they seem to have variable quality issues. Many Pan owners have complained about all sorts of various problems (Smearing etc). It appears to be entirely random. Id say most pans are fine though:idea:0

Cheers, out tomorrow so will call in the panasonic shop and have a look at the G & V.0

G20 is a cracking TV and AFAIK, they've dropped £100 or so since I bought mine several months ago. I paid £800 at Richer Sounds.0
