Looking for a digital camera for a child

Hi, I am stuck for ideas for Xmas so am considering a cheap digital camera for my 7 year old.

Obviously he is too old for the kiddy-specific rubbish ones so i want a proper one, preferably shockproof (just in case!) and most importantly, with easy to use menus.

Can anyone recommend a brand that has easy menus so i can go hunting for a cheap one?

I would recommend ebay where a decent one a couple of years old can be had for a few pounds. Doesn't really matter then if it gets lost or broken. I wouldn't worry too much about an easy menu, children seem to be able to pick it up in no time.

Don't you mean all manuals for current and new tech are genetically preprogrammed lol
