Oil Filled Rads VS Electric storage
Hi, I have recently moved into a rented flat which has electric storage heaters. We are not on Economy 7 as we have a KBD prepayment meter on a standard tarrif.
We have tried running the 2 storage heaters but they seem to cost a fortune!! We are only really in the flat in the evening due to work, would oil filled rads be cheaper to run for the few hours we are in???
Many thanks.
Jim

Yes they would.
The problem with storage heaters is they 'leak' heat during the day0 -
We have just switched them on and have left them at minimum output and about middle input and for the price the heat is very poor.
I think i may try and get a couple of oil filled on timers for the evenings but wanted some advise before shelling out money on rads.
