Gas and Electric Refund!
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to share this....
I pay monthly dd with SP, online energy saver 3, and never look at my bills, they get emailed and i dont take much notice - not very MSE i know!
But i did check today after reading Martins tips email recevied in my inbox today. I took a look at a comparison site with his advice, there was a little differene for me...
I then went into my SP and checked my balance - £445 in CREDIT! I rang them, gave my upto date readings and was then in CREDIT by £530! I have now got a cheque in the post for £500 (just in time for Christams and leaving a little in there just in case) and have now reduced my dd by £28....
Definately worth looking into guys!
Thanks Martin for reminding me to look into my Gas and Electric bill!

Credit balance refund
If I have too much credit, will you refund it to me?
Yes, if you're actual meter readings show that you have more than three months’ worth of direct debit payments at the time of your annual review, we’ll automatically refund this amount. If you have less than three months’ worth of direct debit payments, we’ll reduce your monthly payments for the coming year accordingly. If the amount you pay needs to increase or decrease, we’ll let you know in advance.
Inroducing our new Direct Debit Bonus Scheme
For every full £33 you are in credit, above £100, we’ll give you £1 back. That’s £1 if your credit balance is £133, £2 if it’s £166 and so on, up to a maximum of £12 at £496.
(I think the bonus scheme only operates at the time of the annual review)"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100
