I have a repeat prescription - I used to collect it myself from my doctors, then take it to the Tesco chemist. A few months back I used the local chemist - I didn't have enough cash to pay for my prescription, so he let me take my stuff and to "pop in the £2 next time you're passing" He got my business from then on;)
Last week I used the chemists collection service where they put the prescription in at the GP and they collect it. Was expecting to go to the chemist to get my stuff tomorrow - tonight a ring on the doorbell and the delivery driver has dropped it round to the house as "he was passing". I pay him on the doorstep and I'm stunned at the amazing service :j:j:j
I got my 2 front tyres changed today at a tyre shop across the city- bit of a smile, cheeky request for a discount from me - "No problem love, I remember you from last time you were here."
I only buy eggs from my butcher stall in the market, but I always get a "Hello Mrs Bylro, how are you?"
I live in a city of 300,000 people, so to get this service is impressive.
If you own a local retail outlet, give yourself a pat on the back. Your customers value you and the specialist service you give greatly.

I do appreciate good customer service and I wish I could echo your views when it comes to my local chemists. They are truly dreadful which is why I always take my prescription to Morrisons and get my shopping while it is being prepared.0

I don't have a clue! It was the first time I got them to order from the GP on my behalf.
When I rang up the guy to place the order, he said "it'll be ready to pick up Friday", so who knows?Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
