Why doesn't my browser automatically redirect me? + flash not working?

Hey again,When I sign into a forum it usually momentarily shows a box which says 'Click here if your browser does not automatically redirect you'.For me I always have to click this page. How do I make it automatically redirect? Also, I think flash is not working for me? I Internet Explorer 8 running at 32bit with a 64 bit Windows OS. None of the smilie icons on the forum will work, several small icons are also not working (e.g. when you do a fast reply at the bottom of the page). I am guessing this is a flash problem?cheers!!
(needless to say, youtube is also a no-go.)

The icons aren't anything to do with flash but the youtube problem might be. The redirects are likely to be javascript turned off. A poor internet connection could possibly be the cause too - what sort of speedtest result do you get?
  • I am on the flash download page and nothing is happening when I try to install. How do i switch on javascript? This is a fresh install, just come back form dell but I have never experienced this before - having to play with so many settings etc.(Looking back, I shouldn't have made two posts, so I think Ill try and delete the other one.)
  • Ok - all google images not working.Cursor doesn't automatically come up on google search bar - I have to manually click it there.(it's IE8)

I would still try a different browser ; IE is awful!
  • Yeah I think I am going to move to another one. Because the cursor problem is ok now, and youtube is finally working. ALso, I am being redirected without having to click.

SO I think i am going to ditch IE. The question is Firefox or opera? :)
