Making good what to expect?

Hi,
Can any builders let me know what they would expect the following to mean? "make good to floor plaster by others"
Basicaly we have had a single doorway opened up so we can fit a 6ft double doors and side pannels. An RSJ has been installed.
I am happy with the work carried out but as far as I can see there has been no attempt to "make good to floor"
Before I can plaster I will have to re-cement a couple of bricks which came lose when the opening was being cut. Board the RSJ in. Remove large sections of render which have been detached from the brickwork by the cutting.
As I don't have that much experiance of this am I being silly complaining that I don't think they have "made good to floor"?
Cheers

depending what was discussed before quote , i would think that making good puts right anything that needs attention following any alterations0
-
When we quote something "by others" it means we haven't included it so "others" need to do it0

sorry my initial post was a bit misleading the "plaster by others" bit wasn't in the same sentence as the make good to floor part. So i am wondering if i am being unreasonable expecting it to be ready to plaster?0

In my experience when you get different tradespeople/companies to do different parts of the job they have no incentive to make the finish easier for the next guy.
So the builder will leave things the plasterer has to complete before boarding/plastering.
The plasterer will leave odd gaps/holes which need to be filled by the decorator before he paints.
Etc, etc.
I still prefer separate trades though providing everyone's clear on expectations.0 -
Seems clear that plastering is by others and I’d say that includes preparation like knocking render off.
Who is responsible for the floor depends on how it is written and the link between the two phrases
What does the builder say?,0 -
Quite.Who is responsible for the floor depends on how it is written and the link between the two phrases
I read it as being an "and" missing between the words "floor" and "plaster" and that "plaster" should probably have been "plastering".

Thanks for all the responses. I have spoken to the Builder and to be fair they are happy to fix all the things I am not happy about.
Best buliders I have used by a mile. Most of them get really arsey when you suggest there is anything wrong with a job!0
