Can I/should I sell these on eBay?

A while ago I acquired a set of metal 'golly' (edited) badges from the Leukemia Trust that had been brought out to support England in the last World Cup. I know they are at best seen as un-PC, at worst seen as racist. So I'm wondering
- will it make some buyers avoid me completely?
- should I include something in the description to let people know I'm aware they can be seen as offensive or would that put bidders off?
- or am I just worrying about nothing considering all the weird stuff you can buy on eBay?

Normal people don't take offense. It would be advisable to advertise them as "gollys" though.0

Oh thank you, I don't know why that didn't occur to me. I haven't even seen any since I was tiny and I'm a bit surprised that the Leukemia Trust attempted to revive them to be honest, but someone may be into them.0 -
Lots of people sell golly items on ebay, and they are listed as gollies, golly and gollywogs, and to be honest as Macfly says most people wouldnt dream of taking offence.
I had similar worries when I sold some sheet music and programmes from the Black and White minstrel show and I had loads of bidders and they went for much more than I dreamed they would.

I honestly wouldn't worry about upsetting anyone by listing something for which there is a collectors market on eBay. If you go down that route, you end up with inventing reasons not to sell virtually everything, and the whole idea of selling for profit begins to look totally unethical!

I can buy gollys all day long at my local shop - all sorts. Bigguns, smalluns, keyrings, mugs.... anything. And they've got them on display in the window.
It's not illegal, just a few people are a bit gobby about anything that outrages them.0
