    I'm 19, got my first credit card 2 months after my 18th, have 2350 credit available to me on 2 cards, one is a student credit card from my bank. Pay in full every month no problems!

    What can I say, it works for me?

    I also have a job, you never said whether your son is still in FT education or has a job or anything?
