In Car Audio CD/MP3 - any ideas???

Hi,

I bought a CD/MP3 player for my GF last year from ebay for about £50 brand new. I suppose you get what you pay for and since i installed it, any music played (either MP3 or normal audio files) jump/skip constantly when on the move. When stationary it is fine.

I used to work at Halfords when i was a student and vaguely remember a feature on the more expensive (at the time) car audio equipment that made the player read ahead of its self, thus, preventing jumping when on the jump.

Firtsly, does anyone know what this feature is called?

And secondly, can anyone recommend at good starting (brands, websites, retail stores etc...) point for in car audio that includes MP3 playback at £100 - £150?

Thanks in advance

I got A Blaupunkt system for £165 last year, plays Mp3's & quite a few good features on it. Should think they may be a bit cheaper now.
