Very short term insurance?

I currently live with my partner and the home contents insurance policy is in her name.
I am now in possession of a valuable article that I cannot have her know about for about 2 weeks (its round, small, has a big sparkly bit on the top and depending on who you listen to should cost 1 or 2 months salary). I would like to know if it would be possible to get specific insurance cover for said small valuable article for 2 weeks without having it added to the home contents policy because its supposed to be a surprise.
Any ideas?

Why do you need short term insurance? Don't you want it to be covered whilst she has the ring? She is more likely to lose it - then you losing it between now and then!!0
