New bank account

Today i opened a lloyds tsb basic account.
Can anyone tell me if they are affiliated with HSBC, HALIFAX or BARCLYCARD
I have just had a horrible thought that they might be
These are the people that I find I now cannot pay.
I have withdrew any available money from credit cards(not much)And am now cancelling any direct debits and standing orders.
I will then phone the CCS and get the ball rolling
Have I done right.
Got no sleep last night but feel one step nearer getting things sorted (hopefully)
thanks in advance

Lloyds TSB bought HBOS in late 2008...

Lloyds TSB are connected to Bank of Scotland which is connected to Halifax!

Try not to panic too much, get your sleep... for every financial problem, there is a financial solution!

You're doing exactly right - Face up to the debt!

    Good luck!

  • I phoned CCCS today and they told my wife to get a job(which she has been trying to do) And to sell the car which I need for work.
Bankruptcy cost £600 each (which we obviously haven't got)
She says we have "300 going out more than we have coming in but I think she added our loan payments in to this figure.
Time to slash our wrists I think

    woah woah woah!

for every financial problem, there is a financial solution!

I'm hoping you were joking (even if it wasn't in the best possible taste) but honestly it's no kind of solution!

Would you be willing to speak to someone else about it?

  • Well i have had no sleep and lost 3 ib overnight.
my wife has searched for a job .
Seems we haven't got enough coming in and too much going out.
There is no solution for us.
We have just got to try and pay things until she gets a job then we can try for an IVA (i think)
How dis we get in this mess. Our debts were a total surprise...where have we been?
Going mad with worry, but there is nothing anyone can do
  • Well, I can't eat a full meal can't sleep can't read a newspaper, cant watch a Tv programme. I seem to have a great big permanent knot in my stomach and my whole inner body seems to be shaking within.
OMG what have we done. I just want this dreadful feeling to end.
If you do pass away does your debt get written off with you or are your kids responsible? I couldn't do that to them. For them to have this awful feeling.
Wife is going for interview today for crappy cleaning job.To think she was once holding down a really good job until the dept closed down. But today she needs this job so badly for us to be able to get some help.
    Oh bad times
  • CCCS Should have been good for you surley ?

Im with Gregory Pennington, Ok a % of what you pay goes to them but they are helpful in sorting everything.

Maybe give them a call ??
