I had my daughter 8 weeks ago on Thursday, we put in our claim (first claim) a few days after she was born.
My partner works 39.5 hours a week, i currently stay at home and don't get maternity pay. My partner also gets higher rate DLA, could this delay our claim? and should it really have taken this long?!

Have you also claimed for CB, I think they start proceedings when that has been sorted as you need the CB number too.:A

Not 100% sure, I think you can make a premilinary claim without it but why don't you give them a ring?:A
