JVC mini camcorder drivers

I want to transfer video from JVC GR-DF479EK camcorder on to my sony laptop running windows 7, I cannot find the disk that came with my camcorder and need to download the drivers. I cannot find a download for the drivers, will I be able to transfer my video any other way to my laptop.:j

    can you not find the driver or the software CD? Two are different things. Drivers shouldnt be a problem as Windows 7 should automatically recognise the device.

    If software is missing, you could try to cotnact JVC for replacement disc, but they will most likely ask for some moeny...:mad:

    have u tried to connect it to PC, power camcorder up, change mode to playback and see what happens. windows movie maker may allow you to import videos from camcorder.

    try this and post back if u still have problems..

    Many thanks for helpful reply, my viao laptop does recognised the hardware, but I cannot get it to transfer the tape on the mini camcorde. I think I will have to see if I can locate the same disk that came with camcorde.

    I loaded the disc onto a PC for my jvc camcorder it is possible to transfer this to my laptop please, if so how can it be done.

    Can you check the model number because that number is not only unknown to jvc but more relevant doesn't show any results on a google search - I guess that you aren't the only person in the world who bought the only example of that camera!

    The model number is GR-DF470EK, I have checked the JVC website but cannot see that model number on it.
