Tax credit disabled child element.

My disabled son will be 16 soon and we have had the DLA renewal forms.
Once he is 16 he has to claim for himself as he is considered an adult claimant for DLA purposes.
The question then is this: Will I lose the disabled child element of Child Tax Credit? I know CTC is paid until age 18 if the child is continuing in education so I'm a bit confused as to whether he will still count as a disabled child for CTC purposes if he has an adult DLA claim.
Can't seem to find the answer to this one anywhere online.

If he is still in education, the disabled CTC will remain.*SIGH*0
