IVA Mortgage Help!!!
Can anyone help??
I completed a lump sum IVA in April 2009. The whole process start to finish only took a matter of months but will remain on my credit report for 6 years. Before the IVA my credit was good.
I have a mortgage for £239,000 on a property I rent out. The rental income is £60 short of the current monthly mortgage payments. The mortgage is on the standard rate and not tied in. I also have a secured loan on the property of £25,000.
My wife and I live in her property that she owns outright and is currently for sale for £225,000.
We have seen our dream house for oiro £400,000 that we wish to buy jointly. Our joint income is £56,000 per year. Our intention was to use the money from the sale of my wifes property as a deposit on the new house and get a mortgage for the difference and to consolidate my existing home owner loan. So we would be looking for a mortgage of £200,000.
We have savings of £15,000.
I have tried high street lenders, so called IVA lenders all with no luck.
This is my first time posting and any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Could your wife a mortgage for £160,000 without putting you on it?Would you ask the wolves to look after the sheep?

i dont think so. Our joint income is made up from my salary of £41k and my wifes of £15k. Based on this i wouldnt think she would be able to get a mortgage for that amount0
