Can anyone tell me how long their changeover took? Its only been about four weeks but the longer it takes the more money Powergen owe me! Grateful for any clues.

4-6 Weeks - Powergen refund any monies that are owed to you by cheque or directly into your bank account upon receiving the opening readings from SSE. (Or Ebico if thats what you want to call them). ;)

Once you join they should contact you or send someone to take readings - Once they are taken about a week or two later a final bill from powergen should be produced.

Hi, I applied online to change to Ebico from Powergen on 28th August, and had a phone call from them last week saying changeover date is 18th October.

Prior to that had letter from Powegen saying how sorry to see me go,

and 2 cards from Ebico, and 2 emails, saying they were on the case!

They also told me on phone that I can change my DD as often as I want after seeing how bills go, to what I want it to be! As she was concerned I'd set it a bit high to start off!! :D

I take it the OP has been recieving updates from ebico on progress? I think they send out postcards with updates on to let you know how far along you are.

May be worth a call to powergen or Ebico to find out if you are joining them?

Thanks for the replies, I've not had anything from Powergen but did get a letter or email (can't remember which!) from Ebico confirming switch in place, will give it another couple of weeks before chasing it, thanks again
