cheapest to use - gas or elec oven ?

I wonder if anyone can advise me on this ? Our gas oven has died and we need to buy a new one. which is cheapest to run , gas or elec ?
Only used a gas cooker once or twice for short periods so never been able to compare, but did not notice a real difference in utility costs.
Being used to cooking with electricity I do not like gas cookers and I know gas users feel the same about electricity. What we have grown up with or are used to I expect.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -
As gas is the cheaper fuel per kWh a gas cooker is cheaper to run. If you hardly use your oven (we use ours almost every day) then it may not be an issue for you.0
