45 items isnt good sample? With about 6 or 7 people winning more than one item.. and 100% complaining... if thats not a trend then I was simply extremely unlucky huh!
You said you'd sold three massive lots.

In auction parlance, a lot is one package so that implied three people.

But, yes, even with 6 r seven, if they all complained, then I would say you were either unlucky, or the postage costs were unreasonably high to start with.
Classic! That comeback reminds me of the playground classic response of "I know you are but what am I" to an insult!
It may remind you of that but it was a perfectly fair comment because you were whining about what people needed to bid as if there was some element of coercion. There isn't. Discounting is just a normal business practice.
No because in the case of my lego I only had one of each item.....
But we weren't talking about your lego, we were talking about generalities of discounting p&p where it reflects the true costs involved.

Why, if a buyer buys more than one thing, which is presumably going to the same address, do you have to post seperately?
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.

Because it in my case it cost more to put into one parcel

If you look at some of my posts above you will see why I personally still need to send seperate packages in some instances.

THis new pricing in proportion has made doubling up auctions wins and offering a discount expensive on some (but not all) of the lines I sell.

Just as an example, an item i sent today costs 44p to send one, but £1.27 to send two, so of course I send the two identical items seperately.
