HELP!!! with NPOWER

Hi could anyone one help with an ongoing problem with Npower.

over 18 months ago my Husband left a rented property when he came to move in with me before we got married earlier this year.

he gave his final meter readings to Npower who have never supplied him with a final account bill. The problems have been there since the begining of his contract(he was only in the property 8months) all the statements have either the incorrect meter numbers, reading & dates.

i am now in the process of writing to them giving all the reading, dates and other information and calculating the charges i think it should be.

firstly, is the above a good idea (working it out)
sencondly can i charge interest and costs

Thanks for any advice you can offer.

I would be inclined not to work it out for them as it implies it's an amount you are willing to pay.
May not be a good idea if you have got the calculation wrong.

Make a complaint by all means, give them the data (dates, meter readings etc) and let them calculate it.

If the bill then comes in less than you calculated, you'll be laughing.
If it's more, complain again (unless you then think they are right)

You can't charge interest & costs. What interest? What costs?
You can't go making these up after the event. You are bound by the terms you both agreed to from the start of the contract.
If your husband has never received a final bill, then he probably owes the supplier money. Make sure they can't charge interest - check the terms!

Always worth working out yes. You need to make them do this but when they send theirs out, you will be able to scrutinise it if you have an idea.

There isn't enough info on your post to really understand this. By mentioned different meters, readings etc it's not clear whether it's a billing or meter issue or both. It could be a long winded crossed metering issue or just a missed meter change or incorrect details held which might just be a data handover issue from their agents.

In terms of costs, you can pursue compensation in the complaint. You can state calls, letters, inconvenience etc and they may give you a gesture of good will payment. Not possible to say as your post is too vague about what hassle you nay have had.
