Pensing transaction not taken

Hi
I have a barclaycard cashback card, and within the last 2 months i have used it lots of times. 3 of these times were with the same company, after which the value of the trasaction was pending but then disappeared a few days later. None of these transactions have ever been taken and the oldest one is approaching 2 months old, and the trasactions are a few weeks apart.
I now want to cancel my card as i have just applied for a better cashback card. My balance is zero.
What will happen to these tranactions if i cancel my card? Can they still go through? I have put the money aside for these so have up until this point atleast, fully expected the tranactions to appear on my card. I am just wondering if cancelling the card means these transactions can not be processed anymore?
Thanks
Carl

Are they genuine pending transactions or transaction corrections?
If a transaction does not complete because of communication issues or you taking the card out too soon, a pending transaction and reversal (correction) can sit there for ages. If they ever go through one will cancel the other out.
If they are actual transactions, then query with the card issuer, but when they go through you will get a statement you are expected to pay. Cancelling the card only stops transactions attempted after the card is cancelled.I wonder why it is, that young men are always cautioned against bad girls. Anyone can handle a bad girl. It's the good girls men should be warned against.-David Niven0
