If its a private school it will be highly likely to be on the charity commission website, if its a local authority school it may not have specific formal accounts of its own - I've never known them made public although I guess you could put in a freedom of information request, or go along on the annual audit/scrutiny days for the council financial records. If you have a specific question on a state school you are better off asking that question and following it up with a FOI request if you don't get an answer.

    Hello OP,
It sounds as if you're trying to find out whether or when the school received funding to support your son - am I right? If not, please ignore the following...
Unless you had the chance to rifle through every page of the school's financial paperwork, I think there's no chance of finding out through a paper trail.
In any case that isn't the best way forward. Poking about in the school's financial business is not going to make you look rational or sensible - why not ask a direct question?
You need to write formally to the chair of governors (and copy to the headteacher) and ask IF funding has been received, and if so WHEN and WHAT (eg. money to cover how many hours of support).
Make it clear in your letter that you would like a fairly quick response.
If you don't get an answer within a week or two, write again and follow up with a phone call to ask what's happening.
If you are very concerned that something has gone wrong, consider contacting your MP and the local education authority.

If the above poster is correct in her supposition of why you want the info, then she is also correct in her advice.. Aside from the papertrail not being availabe due to data protection issues, children are rarely named in minutes etc, just referrred to as child A in yr xxx.

Ask the question of the Head, copied in to the GB, and if you get no joy approach the LEA directly.
