I sent the preliminary approach letter 14 days ago asking for my money back of £700.
The bank have now replied advising as a goodwill guesture they will give me £300.00
So which letter do i use now?
The letter before action? this says failure to respond etc but they have done
or
Refusal letter (this says as per my previous letter you have until X date) but this has now past (well is today)
Help its all a bit confusing.

Send the LBA if fourteen days have elapsed, just edit the wording from 'failed to respond' to 'failed to respond positively.'
It's up to you if you decide to accept the monies offered as a partial settlement only, with the clear understanding that you will be pursuing the rest through the courts. There's an excellently-worded letter to this effect in the templates section of the Consumer Action Group website.
All the best with your claim,

:heartpuls CG :heartpulsEver wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0
