Angel care baby monitor faulty

Hi, I purchased an angel care baby monitor from toys r us roughly nine months ago, and it worked fine up untill last week. The problem now being that the two units aren't communicating with each other so it can't be used as it is intended, ie portable one in a different room to the main base one. As I have rather stupidly lost the receipt, I just wanted to check what rights, if any, I have before I go into toys r usand make a complete idiot of myself? Am quite annoyed because it was a few pennies short of eighty quid and I am going to have to buy a replacement one if I ge no joy from this one.
Thanks in advance

Without any proof of purchase (not necessarily a receipt btw) you'll be relying on the goodwill of the store I'm afraid. After all there's nothing to prove when, where, or even if it was purchased, or by whom.0

Have you "re synced" them with one and other?
My DD took to playing with hers and pressed the small button just below the circle light, this knocked of the settings and for a while couldn't figure out why they weren't working.
I had to reset it. It took a while to find the right buttins on our unit to do this , but now working fine.
My only problem now is I want to use it just as a monitor without the sensor pad but can't figure out how to change it, the alarm on the baby unit keeps going off if i unplug the movenet pad0 -
Will try that now, to be honest I've been really happy with them (til th stopped working!) and will give anything a go!0

Woopee! Gave it a try, always thought that 'button' you mentioned was an led light! Anyhows, its worked so I can sleep soundly and toys r us won't be getting a visit from me making a fool of myself, many thanks!0

Simples.... lol
I couldn't believe it was something so easy and it does just look like it only is an LED
Glad you've got them going again now just hope anyone can shed some light on removing the sensor pad.0
