Redundancy Questions

I have some questions regarding redundancy, sorry if they’ve already been answered else where but thought would be best to get all my questions on the one thread.
1. Is there a difference between being made Compulsory or Voluntary Redundant, if so what?
2. Will being made Voluntary Redundant cause any problems claiming Job Seekers Allowance.
3. Is there a particular amount of Savings (redundancy amount) your allowed before claiming JSA.
4. How does Insurance or payment protection work, if I do not have any at the minute. Am I able to sign up now. Or is there a minimum period before being made redundant for it to be paid out.
5. Similar to the above, If I have not been confirmed this is happening but it MIGHT happen in the future will that make my insurance claims INVALID.
Many Thanks in advance
