Well, I have to say you should be proud of yourself, your work ethic shines through, as does your tenacity.

If you can work, keep on keeping on.

Have no advice but I just wanted to wish you well.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

I think you should consult your GP about whether you should be working or not. If you are overweight, trying to loose weight might help your condition. If you aren't on a low carb you should be as this helps prevent diabetic complications (I am a diabetic but my condition is under control). Obviously your condition is very serious as your GP is prescribing morphine. If you are unable to work you should claim ESA.

    Best Wishes
  • Are you asking if you are permitted to work and earn while receiving DLA?

If that is your question, yes you are permitted to work. DLA is not based on whether you work or how much you earn, it's based on the needs arising from your disability.
  • no im not overweight and gp said damage was done to feet when blood sugars were very high, now diabetes well under control but was just concerned cause i was lead to believe i could not work if getting dla lot happier now with your replies thank you

The only restriction is that your job can't contradict your care or mobility needs. IE, if you claim HRM on the basis that you're unable to walk, you couldn't work on a building site.

There are treatments for neuropathic pain, have you asked your pain clinician about them?

Opiates dont touch it because it works on a diffrent system to normal pain but other drugs can really help, I have similar pain and I was at breaking point before I tried tried them.
