Aerial points

Options
We need 2 aerial points put in our top floor of our house and have been quoted £100 to do this. We currently have an indoor aerial and booster as the signal was quite bad.

    Is that a question, or a statement?:)

    Without knowing;

    how far the aerial points are from your booster,
    whether or not the booster requires replacement to add two further aerial outputs,
    what style of walls you have (plasterboard, cavity blocks, solid plaster on brick)
    whether or not you want the aerial points low down in the walls, at skirting level ....

    ... it's difficult to tell how much work is required, and whether or not it's reasonable.....

    It is a new build house, we used the existing 2 aerial points, the one on the ground floor needed a small booster thing plugged in but the one on the middle floor doesn't need a booster at all. We were told that the aerial could support 2 more sockets at the time of installation. Is that any clearer?

    very cheap if all recessesd and no coax on show , sounds like its all a bit pony with you most likely needing a seperaate little booster for the two new points, instead its better to have a good booster at source

    How does the current indoor aerial feed the two points and where is it situated?

    The aerial is in the loft, it was all already connected up we just needed the aerial. We have got a couple of other companies coming out to quote.

    Do you mean you just needed the booster?

    If you get a decent strong signal with an indoor aerial then if you put that through a distribution amplifier then you will be able to feed the new sockets, and your existing ones.
