Mercedes Vito which one?

Looking at getting a vito for work but not sure what to get. It needs to be a long wheel base and blue (my company colour) However which model do I get? Any problems with vitos I need to know about? Was going to get a vw transporter but can't justify the price tag. Any advice welcome.
Thanks
P

avoid the 109 if you carry heavy loads, feels slow, the 111cdi is the best allrounder and the 115cdi is a rocket ship,
although all suffer with injector seals failing (should hear a slight chuffing noise from the engine bay)
dash clusters are another favourite failing but are avaliable as recon now.
steering lock is a coomon merc thing, when you put the key thing in it just acts dead and wont start or release the steering (and needs to go to merc)
apart from that they are pretty good vans,

Jeez, best to get one from a dealer rather than private then? Whats the 115 like on juice? Nice thought getting home quicker when working miles away.

dont be too put off by the list all vans these days have problems
from memory the 115 i ran for a bit was hitting high 30's mpg but it was loaded most of the time with a fair bit of towing involved

Cheers Somech  tempted by the 115 if your getting high 30's.
  • i would avoid the vito personally. had shed loads of trouble with new and old shape ones, and always cost a fortune to repair as nobody other than merc would touch them.

i would go for a transit or the vivaro/primastar/trafic van. the 115 version of these is rapid aswell. and a much nicer driving position than the vito.
    ...work permit granted!
