Pet insurance.

I only have experience of Marks and Spencer Pet Insurance.
They are great at paying out, very quickly and efficiently. Just annoyed our premiums jumped from £16 to £40 in 3 years. However we do have to claim for an ongoing condition our dog has (hip dysplasia and arthritis) so I suppose it was to be expected. £70 excess to pay though and when our dog reaches 9 years (soon) we have to pay 20% of treatment costs too. But what can you do? You can't change insurers for a better deal as the ongoing condition wouldn't be covered.
Did think about cancelling the policy altogether and putting aside the monthly premiuim to use for emergencies, but just can't take the risk something major happened and the funds weren't there. Its not as though we have a cc to use for emergencies as both BR, so they have us over a barrel!!0 -
We received our pet insurance renewal quote in writing, went to pay it and they said that it was wrong they had sent last years quote by mistake and charged us £100 more! But we have the renewal quote in writing!!
We paid it because our dog has an ongoing condition and no one else will insure him.
What can we do about this please, as I feel this is incredibly unfair!!0
