not sure my job seekers allowence is right

hi, first of all i will say i really stuggle with some maths, espcially if it involves dates

problem is i dont know if i have been getting enough JSA but i really cant work it out, i owe £180 on my creditcard and i cant work out why because i only spend what i have (or think i have).

so i looked at my statements online for the last 4 months and i have had:

£103.70 from JSA on august 27th
£103.70 from JSA on september 14th
£103.70 from JSA on october 11th

and thats the only JSA payments i have had.

i think i have missed 2 payments of £103.70 but i am really not sure, at first i worked it out as missed 5 payments but that is definately not right. :(

can someone work this out? i can PM you a copy of my statement if it makes it easier.

Looks to me like you should have had four payments, why don't you call them up and check?

You should have had a payment at the end of Sept.

Hi, is this a fairly new JSA claim, started early August perhaps ? If so, the smaller amount is 3 days money, for the part week at the start of your claim.

For future reference if you are sick again then still look for work on any days you can. Even if you are stuck in bed then get someone to send you a paper with your food. Or if you can browse the net then do that. Then on signing on day try as hard as possible to get there to avoid any payment delays. Unless of course you are really really sick i.e in hospital.
