rigging up playstation to new tv

Since buying a modern tv, I am unable to get my playstation to work.
It originally plugged into the aerial socket, but now I get a `no signal` message when I do so.
I am guessing I need some sort of connector or adaptor to make it work. Can anyone please post a link to a picture of what I need please?
Many thanks in advance.
NB it a Playstation 1

You need to retune the new tv, say channel 6. Not going to be easy now, keep plugging into the aerial socket. New PS wanted and you will get a much better game experience and picture quality. The PS1 on a large ? panel tv is not going to look good.0

If you can post the make and model of your TV that will help.
It may be that you only have a digital tuner in which case you will not be able to connect it via the aerial, however you might be able to use something like this

I am not into gaming, so won't be updating - I just feel a bit nostalgic and fancy a tear up on `Driver`.
Lucylucky, It is a Samsung LE37B650
I figured it might be something like this I need:

How about this one off ebay, a fair bit cheaper!

What I can't understand is that some leads are just simple AV-Scart, but then there are some (such as the one highlighted) which have an extra 3 connectors.
Does anyone know what the difference is and what I would plug into those 3 sockets?0 -
The yellow RCA socket is composite video out and the other two are left-and-right channel audio. It's simply another output source. Some TV's/VCR's/AMP's have these video/audio inputs instead of SCART.
Composite video is inferior to RGB if it's available via SCART.Blessed are the geeks, for they shall inherit the Internet.0 -
I use them when playing games on my old PS2 slimline console. Have you connected your HD cable to your TV ?secret_tramp wrote: »What I can't understand is that some leads are just simple AV-Scart, but then there are some (such as the one highlighted) which have an extra 3 connectors.

I dunno.
I am not a techie person at all and haven't had the tv long.
As far as I know the aerial plugs in the back of the tv and that's it.
I don't have any set top box or PVR as the tv has its own tuner.
I don't even know what an HD cable looks like...:o0 -

Can't see an HD cable being of any use to you anyway, not really clear why it had been mentioned.
The link to a connector with a SCART will do you just fine.0 -
You have 3 options that im aware of
Use the standard cable that came with the playstation (3 plugs on the end) and plug them into the tv
Use the above cable with the scart plugin to plug to scart (though the picture will be just as poor if not worse than just using the original cable)
Buy a playstation scart RGB cable (best quality)
Im unsure if s-video and component cables work with the original PS:idea:0
