My system has just crashed, blue screen, then restarted. It's created a DMP file, but I can't open it. What do I need to access it? I should say I did look on Google, but got a bit bugeyed trying to understand the MS response, so I came here for plain english I might understand.

DMP = Dump file
basically when the machine crashed it saved all the data in memory and records what driver, programs and services were running and dumped all that info into a single file.
It's usually only of use to Tech support (or people doing diagnostic tests)
If you REALLY want to see whats in the file, this link will tell you what you need to read the file:

I believe dmpcheck.exe is what you're looking for.
