Tax Credits and Travelling

Does anyone know if we can still claim tax credits if we are working for an English Company, paying tax in England, getting paid in to an English bank account etc. But we are working from home and thinking about travelling round Europe with the kids for 6 months.
Can we still claim tax credits or do we have to actually be resident in the UK?
