please help- wing mirror???

HI someone has smashed my wing mirror this morning :mad: its just the glass that has smashed and I was wondeirng where I can get a new one from and how to fix it?? Its a 1993 nissan micra and I'm skint so cheapest possible please.

Also am I still legal to drive the car? you can still see in the wing mirror?

Hi daisyboo,don't worry you are still legal to drive,think you only have to have 2 rear view mirrors,you have your interior and other wing mirror so you are ok.
Why don't you try the local scrapyard,we get all bits and bobs from ours,they won't charge you much for the whole mirror.

As long as you have two mirrors - rear view and one wing mirror then you should be legit. If the housing is OK and you just need the glass, then they sell them in Halfords - IMO that will be the quickest and easiest way to get one. If you need the whole housing, then cheapest will probably be a scrapyard or try eBay.

thank you I think a trip down to halfords it is for me then. Its only the mirror not the whole thing thank god!

The "wing" mirror has to be the offside one.

got mine for a nissan serena for about £7.00 only the glass though from halfords

If you have a local glass merchant near you and make a card template they can cut you one for about £5.00

got it sorted now thank you. I got the glass from halfords for £6.45 and you just stick it over the exsisting one. simple!
