Putting a link into a single word

I often see people putting in a link that says look HERE. The HERE is highlighted and when you click on it sure enough you are taken to the appropriate page. Please can someone tell me how to do this?
TIA

Write some / anything [ in the advanced ] box, then highlight any word or series of words with your mouse, then click on the ' blue world globe ' icon above and insert the URL, then click ok!

Do the same with the insert image icon c81oj.jpg URL and you get the picture instead of the website, hope I'm not opening a whole~n~other~can~of~worms !

Thanks but I must be really thick as I don't have a clue what you mean by (the advanced box)

Do it thus (delete the * when you do it - I've only put them in so you can see the 'code'):

    [url*=www.google.com]LINKY WINK!

So for example the above line results in LINKY WINK! but that can be whatever URL or text color you want.

Essentially you open the link with the [url*] tag and close it with the [/url*] tag, same for the colour (or color, needs to be american spelt I believe) Note also its square brackets [], not the usual curvy chaps ()

Again, don't forget to remove the *, they're only for demonstration.

    Hope that helps!

It's generally considered better to make the link name say something meaningful, rather than just "HERE". If someone is using a screen-reader or accesses the content without using a "standard" graphical web browser (maybe by running a script to analyse links in the source files), the link may be displayed without the context of the surrounding text. Having a dozen links all labelled "click here" would be a lot more confusing than a dozen uniquely labelled links...
