    Whatever bank I used, I would assume the branch would want notice of a cash withdrawal of that size.

    Ring the branch to check.
    I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say. :)

    if not just withdraw £1000 then take £200 out at atm.
