Yeah, the eggheads and supercomputers at National Hunter will get you there, best not to do this."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0

Probably an offence of fraud by false representation under s2 Fraud Act 2006. Whether the CPS would bother to prosecute is another matter - there are a number of elements to prove.
Risks are from N Hunter etc as already noted. However people do resume previous addresses - students move back home, people work on secondments and return, divorced couples even remarry. I suppose the problem is if on resuming your previous address you claim to have lived there for ages.
I think the answer is not to start using a new address whilst you can legitimately claim it's temporary and still have your old address available to use.0 -
Firstly I feel that some individuals do this already.
You could explain to them if asked that your n house was a tempory house and that you had moved back home. Or that the new house was a weekday work home and you lived with family anyway.
The problem is if you have a credit history at home or not. I dont know where the other accounts are. If they are at home and you have a good history then there shouldnt be any problems.
If no credit is at home then you have no history. Also are you on the Electoral Roll registar at home. Otherwise, you would be back in the same boat.0 -
If you are going to enter your previous residence... Then for me it would have to be a family home ( parents address) you are moving from... Techically it is a bit naughty but on the greater scale of things if you have just moved in... a couple of days overlap wont hurt... Plus your parents (with Surname links, other account info in your name) will still be registered at that address....
Scerario : You sign a tenancy agreement/exchange contracts to move into your new home 1st Nov. However you want to get the house in shape before you physically move in... you decorate for a week ( whilst living with your parents) and within the week you apply for a credit card... By putting the address you were currently residing in ... on a credit application regardless of a tenancy agreement - that is not fraud.
However if you have a large address history and your previous address is not that of a family home/parents address... then i would get on the elec roll asap with the problem address... and wait.... Too many credit applications with different addresses... without history ( such as surname links, old account info etc) could be looked upon as suspicious... and you wouldnt want a credit ref agency to smack a CIFA on your credit profile.
You are not on the elec roll at the problem address and therefore you cant prove you are living where you say you are... as there is no record.. ( elec roll).
This has nothing to do with your financial "worthiness"
Again only put your parents address if it is where you have moved from...
