Yes there are. But of course it costs someone money to change the meter, so any supplier that doesn't charge separately must be building the cost into their pricing structure elsewhere.

Call the other suppliers and see what they offer.

... or better still, first use a comparison site to see who offers you the best deal (energywise) for your situation. You may be able to save several hundred pounds a year by switching in the consumption cost alone.
A £60 cost is nothing if you can save £300 in a year.

Also, be aware that when you approach a new Supplier you are classed as a risk with having a prepayment meter since they presume that it was a debt situation that it went in for.

So, they may credit check and possibly ask for a deposit for a period until you have proven your payment history with them.

Check this out first to avoid being disappointed.

Suppliers have been swallowing these costs since deregulation. They are now getting stricter on certain types of visits...but still pay out a small fortune on non essential visits which they have no pollicy of charging or find it to complex to prove you should pay e.g. a dispute of some kind.

If the prepayment meter was there and it wasn't yours. or even if you volunteered to have it put in (so they didn't force it due to debt), then complain a lot about it. You will be surprised how many people will back down on a complaint in this circumstance since a large number of these agency costs are not billed back to consumers and swallowed in operating costs.

British Gas will usually replace them free of charge. A phone call would confirm.
