i wanted to start a thread on garages to avoid based on experiences, they shouldnt be able to get away with overcharging for jobs they dont even complete - BAD EXPERIENCE FOR ME WAS WITH Injections Sheffield Street Stockport - they didnt do all the jobs and charges me to turn the engine light off said they sorted the emmissions but it came straight back on and they said they dont know the code - so why say they fixed it and charge me ? NOT HAPPY

Can't really do this, because it opens the forum to legal action..... (Maybe?)

I was thinking this morning actually though, there needs to be a website that lists good garage's (as opposed to those who pay to be in the "scheme").

its only my opinion based on my experience there, i asked for some of the bill back because they could fix the light, they just said they will ring one of there mates - im still waiting a month later, when i ring they are busy and never ring back

^^ It sounds like they're simply ill equipped to deal with your car and their fault is taking money from you while failing to admit they can't do the job :(

You need to get the fault codes read, the obvious place is a dealership *shudder* or independent <insert vehicle make here> specialist.

Once that's done you can set about finding a place to get it fixed.

Engine warning light + emissions would suggest lambda sensor failure to me, but I don't know what else the car is/isnt doing.

Start your own website, Only about £10 for 2 years.

Imagine reading a post thats 100,000 pages long & gets updated hundreds of times a day.

Wouldnt it be funny if you owned a garage & joined then said all the other garages around you were terrible.

Bit of a minefield, Unless you checked out every case posted.

    ^^ Exactly :(

Probably started out with the best of intentions, but go corrupted by the promise of cash.

I can see a business growing... Crapgarages.com... damn there is one already crapgarage.co.uk

My idea is better, Garages pay me to invent problems and post comments on their competition, Slagging them off.
