  • So after a bit more thought you guys are starting to make me think this scart lead is a no goer!?

So what connection would you advise instead bearing in mind this is a plain old Sky+ box and NOT a Sky HD box?

All (cost effective) suggestions welcome! :)

Its not a no-goer, just that the length means you're going to need a very high quality one and the link AlienRIK posted is about the best its going to get.

The most cost effective solution is to have the Sky+ box within a couple of metres of the telly so you can use a standard length one.
  • Thought I'd update on my scart lead issues...

I bought this in the end:

And it works like a dream - in fact it's a better picture than the 3m lead I had before
  • glad you got it sorted, but it has to be asked-

why is your box so far from your tv?
    does your tv have hdmi?

  • I would of got one from Kenable, I have purchased from them on a number of occasions and have always been happy with what I receive. The PURE cables are good quality at a fairly low price. 10m is the limit though at £19. Delivery prices are pretty good too.

I will need a long SCART cable myself fairly soon but I thought 5m was long. 10m is very long for an analogue cable and signal reflection could become a problem so the higher the quality the better.
