wtc and jsa after redundancy

We didn't qualify for WTC and were just getting CTC. Now after informing the tax credits office about OH being redundant (I am a SAHM currently), they have sent us a revised award in which WTC suddenly appears (based on OH's half year salary) Is this correct? Shouldn't one of us be working to qualify for WTC?
The award notice still list OH as being in work, but I made it crystal clear he is NOT working and we are claiming JSA-don't want this to mess up the JSA claim.

Do I need to ring tax credits again (what a nightmare that was getting through), or is there some kind of run on from one benefit to the other?
