Hi
I've noticed that quite often when i try to directly open PDF links in my browser (Google Chrome), they don't open...screenshot attached below. Yet i can download the pdf file using "save as" command, no problems there. Not sure if this is browser related as this also happens in Internet explorer. FYI i have Acrobat 9 Pro Extended installed. Any suggestions?

Adobe is a resource hog and bloated...uninstall and get Foxit, much smaller, and works very well.

If it asks custom or default install, select custom, deselect any toolbars etc, they are not needed.0 -
There is a Chrome extension called "Ultimate Google Docs Viewer" which once installed will allow you to right-click a "PDF" link and do the following:
Opening in Google Docs Viewer
Opening in new tab
Opening in new window
Opening in new incognito window
Download file
Copy link address (* Pure JavaScript Solution)
Editing PDF's online
Also, Foxit is good but doesn't allow you to edit PDF docs whereas a program called "PDF Exchange Viewer" does.0 -

thanks - I need something to replace foxit seeing it only opens pdfs in the browser with IE not Chrome."And suddenly I find myself listening to a man I've never known before,Telling me about the sea..."0 -

I use foxit to open pdfs in browser windows. Previously whenever i click on a pdf link it downloaded it to hard drive. Then i found an option in setting (little bit hidden) which allowed me to open pdfs in browser.....0
