erm more info needed. tax position, other investments, time frame, risk profile, investment objectives etc, ethical constraints etc etc
  • would ideally like to maybe spread it out a little, to safeguard it as much as poss. Would like it to bring in a small income for my wife who is a non tax payer at present. We have a mortgage but would only look at paying that off if interest rates increase dramatically. Happy to tie it up for a few years at least. All our other investments are in our own property.

Far too little information. If you think about there being around 50,000 or more products out there and unlimited variations, you can see that information is needed to help filter that down.

Risk profile, objectives, tax position (now and future), investing experience, accessibility, etc etc.

what % are you paying on your mortgage?
  • Hi

I agree with previous posts, far more information is needed before anyone can make any serious comment.

Why don't you take advice from a suitably qualified and experienced IFA?
